Application Information

  1. Applicant must complete and submit this online application form to enrol for “The 2nd Yue Hwa Novuss (Table Chess) Competition”.
  2. Application is free of charge.
  3. Applicant must be at age 12 or above.
  4. Each applicant must only submit this application form once.  Duplicate or incomplete form will be rejected.
  5. Applicant is suggested to provide Facebook ID for contact.
  6. Application deadline: 7 April 2019
  7. Application will be processed on a first come first served basis.
  8. Successful applicants will be notified by mobile SMS or Email on or before 17 April 2019.  Successful applicants must present the notification SMS or Email on the first day of the competition for verification.

  9. Participants who are not drawn in the preliminary round will automatically become backups.

  10. Those who participated in the group competition can no longer participate in individual competitions.

Competition Details

Individual

  1. Venue: Exhibition Hall, 5/F, Yue Hwa Chinese Products Emporium, 301-309 Nathan Road, Kowloon

  2. Dates:
    • Preliminary –27, 28 April and 4 May 2019(Time 11:00/14:00/16:15).
    • 1st Round-11 May (Sat),12 May (Sun) 2019
    • 2nd Round- 18 May 2019 (TIME 15:00)
    • Round of 64(Time11:00)/32(Time14:00)/16(Time15:00)/8(Time15:30) & Final -19 May 2019 (Sun)
    3. Time: Start at 11:00 to est. 18:30
    4. Competition System:
    • Single knock-out system will be adopted.
    • For the preliminary and the other rounds, the best of two matches system will be applied; Except the Final round, the best of three matches system will be applied.
    • Each match shall last for 10 minutes. If the match has conducted over 10 minutes, the winner of the match will be determined by the total number of chess still available on the table. If the quantity of chess of both parties are equal, one party shoots in and the other party shoots out, the other party is the winner.
    • Each participant shall turn up on the scheduled time for the match. Any participant that fails to turn up 5 minutes after the official commencement time or was absent will be regarded as having withdrawn from the match.
    • All participants must follow the match order, and abide by the decision of our company and referee.

    Group (by invitation only)

    1. Venue: Exhibition Hall, 5/F, Yue Hwa Chinese Products Emporium, 301- 309 Nathan Road, Kowloon
    2. Dates:
      • Preliminary – 5 May 2019 (Sun)
      • Final -19 May 2019 (Sun)

         3. Time: Start at 14:00 to est. 18:30

         4.  Competition System:

      • Single knock-out system will be adopted.
      • The best of three matches system will be applied for each round.
      • Each team must have at least 2 members participate per round.
      • Each match shall last for 10 minutes. If the match has conducted over 10 minutes, the winner of the match will be determined by the total number of chess still available on the table. If the quantity of chess of both parties are equal, one party shoots in and the other party shoots out, the other party is the winner.

      Group

      Terms and conditions

        • A “So Good Family” Panda Plush, medal and HK$100 Online Shop Promo Code will be offered to participants who take part in the match.
        • The prizes will be awarded at the end of preliminary or final round.
        • Prizes are non-transferable, non-redeemable for cash, and not returnable.
        • Should any dispute arise, the decision of Yue Hwa Chinese Products Emporium Ltd shall be final.
